For spring break we decided to do a little bit of exploring the South. We visited western North Carolina, Georgia, and South Carolina. There were so many things that we loved about this trip: friends, trees, history, mountains, tennis, beach, boat ride, horseback riding, bike rides, laughing, singing, hiking, sunburns, and eating out.
We hiked to the tallest mountain peak in Georgia and could see four states - Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Sounds intense, but I think it took us about 15 minutes; mountains here are not quite the same as in the West :) We also spent quite a lot of time in cemeteries and took a haunted ghost tour of Charleston, which was awesome. The highlight of the trip for me was visiting the Boone Hall Plantation, where The Notebook was filmed, and picking fresh strawberries from their fields, mmmmm.
